It's Tea Time!

Okay, so apparently this happened back in July. (Talk about late to the party!)
Comic Con is such a fantastic event, I was sad I couldn't make it out last year. Perhaps if I budget correctly and find a really good price on plane tickets, I can try to sneak over to San Diego this summer? We'll see...

As always, be sure to check out other amazing variants and the rest of the Adventure Time series at BOOM! Studios. Algebraic!

Bleeding Cool!

One of my alternate covers was featured on Bleeding Cool magazine! There's always a gap of time between completion of a project and distribution, so it's a nice surprise to see this painting out and about. What a great start to the new year.

Here's the original piece. Be sure to check out the Adventure Time comic at BOOM! Studios. The stories are great and all the alternate covers are amazing! XD

Also, to celebrate the New Year, there's free domestic shipping on prints from now, until January 10th. Just use the coupon code "HAPPY2014" at check out. Have fun!

Happy 2014

Hope everyone had a lovely New Year!

I, along with some other family members came down with a horrible cold, so there was little to no celebrating. Just a lot of coughing, hot tea, and Game of Thrones. (Which, I've found, is very awkward to watch with parents around! Perhaps I could sum up the experience to "family bonding time"...)

Other than that, 2013 was an amazing year. A little bit scary at times...leaving all of my family and friends behind to move cross-country was incredibly nerve wracking for me! The south is very different from L.A., and I'd be lying if I said I didn't get homesick. However, once I decided to embrace the change, I found that I also opened myself up to a lot of new and exciting experiences. The past twelve months were filled with conventions, comics, belly dancing classes, terrifying roller coasters, and a whole new group of people to share the memories with.

Of course, I'm thankful for my old friends too! (Not talking about age here. Though, if some of us did add up how long we've known each other, we'd feel a little...seasoned.) They really got me through some low moments this year, and with every phone call or email, I'm reminded of how lucky I am to have them in my life. Let the record show that karaoke parties are officially the best way to reunite with old friends, and lose your voice before a big convention.

Since 2013 was definitely "the year of change", my belated New Year's Resolution would be to continue to embrace it. Plans are made and broken, but being flexible might lead to some extraordinary possibilities. I'm excited to see what those may be, so here's to an equally exciting 2014!

What are your New Year's Resolutions, if you have any? Let me know!
