Dragon Sketch

A tattoo design for a friend! I just wanted to get the final approval in before I started the inking and shading process. XD

This is the book I was allowed to borrow for reference. All of the illustrations are absolutely amazing! At first this book was a little intimidating; there was just so much to learn about all of the different dragons! However, the more I read through, the happier I was that every little detail about the creatures were already laid out right in front of me. I've never played Dungeons and Dragons before, but...I would snatch up my very own Silver Dragon in a heartbeat.

Here are some sketches I drew directly from the Draconomicon book along with some silly notes for the tattoo design.

I don't really remember where the "Happy Horn" came from...ha ha!

Color Sketch

My senior project is going slow. Mostly because I couldn't get out of my own way for the longest time. Thankfully though, I think I'm in a better more productive place now.

The overall "Tick Tock" story has changed a lot. I've been doing a lot of thumbnailing lately, trying to rework my storyboards and strengthen the overall flow. I'll post a finished animatic once I work out some final kinks.

In the meantime, I've just been reworking some character designs. I still love my tall and skinny man, but I really threw him together last minute. Now, I just want to take the time to explore his character and truly figure out just what kind of clockwork man I want him to be.

I don't know if anyone even remembers this movie, but Babes in Toyland has been one of my favorite films since I was a little girl. I still have the VHS! Lately, it's served as my inspiration station for my film. It's just too cute! Definetly one of those movies that you have to appreciate as a kid in order to still like it as an adult...Unless you're really into ridiculously cheesy classics.

I know I am. XD

HAIR

I recently got some cool mango and lime hair perfume from my mother. It smells sooo good! I love it to pieces because now I can walk around smelling like some kind of fruity Caribbean goddess. Ha ha ha! I wonder what other scents are out there? If I could get my hair to smell like chocolate or honey or something that would be pretty sweet!

Speaking of...

I watched the Secret Lives of Bees the other day. It was such a great film, but a little sad at some parts. I hate watching tear jerkers with other people because I have to hold in all the crying until the next time I'm alone. Bawling in front of my friends is not an option. Ever. My pride is at stake here!

This is mostly because I was already caught once crying during the Lion King.
