Little Lady Goes For a Walk

Researching different flowers for my senior project. What better place to look than in my own neighborhood? I never realized it was so huge! My puppy was especially happy because we were taking a different route everyday...but that was because I kept getting lost and couldn't remember the proper way home. Ha ha.

Some neighbors caught me taking pictures of these flowers while they were out for a nice family stroll. Though they didn't say anything and were very smiley about it, I grabbed my camera and booked it out of there like a thief with some cheap silverware.

These flowers weren't really for research...I was just proud that I stuck around to take a picture of this bee in the first place.

These blossoms looked like purple confetti! I just want to roll around in it and make flower angels. <3 style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_2vdLv6OPj_Q/Snkvh2lOIEI/AAAAAAAAAQY/mFz9WTwJ3Cc/s400/flowers+233.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5366372689622474818" border="0">
Early concept sketches for the film. It looks nothing like this now, but the watercolors were fun to do. Gear-clouds didn't really work out how I'd like though.

Sketchy reworks of the adult couple. I want them to look long and creepy...like spiders.

I had a random idea about an enchanted black crown and the boy prince/princess that would wear it. It was a nice break from school, and if I had the time I would definitely develop it more. One day....XD
Another crazy idea about witch doctors...or witch nurses. Perhaps I'll explain it in full some other time. Heh.

One page of many many scratchy thumbnails. Thankfully, I can now say that I've moved on to some very scratchy storyboards.

There's been some progress I guess. O m O;;

My friend showed me this the other day. I never thought I could love Tim Curry more until this. XD

  1. Well, that was a fistful of awesomeness. I hope you keep working out the gear clouds; I can picture them in my head based on the painting. As always, love your drawings!

    Tim Curry, wow what can I say? Great tribute to my favorite holiday, and now I want a bat brooch.

  2. Bwa ha ha! You have to get a bat brooch now! It would go perfectly with your Labyrinth costume too! XD

  3. Will Do. I don't think you've seen the last of Jareth!

    P.S.- my highschool fencing coach and newspaper editor/teacher is a female Tim Curry. No lie. O_O
